The first edition of the “Middle East Now x Crossway Foundation Residency Programme” is the result of a close partnership between the festival and the Crossway Foundation, one the most important organisations promoting young creatives from the Middle East.
The recipient of the residency is Mohammed Al Kindi aka “Chndy”, a young artist born and raised in Oman. Chndy works with photography, graphics and video, reflecting on the language of advertising with an avant-garde and ironic twist.
In Florence, he will carry out a specific project for the festival, giving us an insight into part of his world. Chndy will be in residence at Villa La Pietra in collaboration with New York University Florence.
