On Friday, October 18, the festival offers a special workshop dedicated to the culinary tradition of Gaza, together with the authors of the book “Pop Palestine. Viaggio nella cucina popolare palestinese”, recently republished by Meltemi Editore.
Fidaa Abuhamdiya and Silvia Chiarantini take us on a journey through crowded markets, delicious recipes, traditions, celebrations and great hospitality, all typical ingredients of the Palestinian culinary culture.
Fidaa I A Abuhamdiya is a food writer, interpreter and educator. She promotes Palestinian culture and history through events and food tours in Palestine and internationally. She posts her recipes on Instagram @fidaa.abuhamdiya
Silvia Chiarantini is a food writer passionate about Middle Eastern history and culture. In 2022 she published “Parkour. My cuisine without boundaries and in motion”. She writes cooking stories on the blog www.popcuisine.it and on Instagram @popcuisine.it
