Middle East Now is delighted to announce its partnership with Crossway Foundation, by establishing the Middle East Now x Crossway Foundation Residency Program.
After two successful years of informal collaboration, and the residencies and exhibitions by the two young artists Nasser Al Zayani (2015) and Nour Flayhan (2016), the festival 2017 presents the official launch of Middle East Now x Crossway Foundation Residency Program.
The Crossway Foundation delivers arts education initiatives for emerging artists in the Middle East, with the aim to invest in the next generation of artists and creative entrepreneurs. The new partnership is dedicated to emerging artists coming from the Middle East, invited for a period of residency in Florence before and during the festival. The key objectives of this joint residency are to provide them with an opportunity to gain Italian and international visibility, exchange ideas and develop an interaction with the city of Florence and the Middle East Now Festival community.
In the next weeks it will be announced the name of the artist involved in this first residency.
Stay tuned!
