We are in the office of the renowned newspaper Etilaat Roz that between August and October 2021 became a fortress. The editorial team tries to report objectively on what is happening in Afghanistan, where the Taliban has resumed control. Outside, the sounds of explosions and warplanes, and chaos reigns at Kabul Airport. Editor-in-Chief Zaki Daryabi refuses to abandon the “sinking ship,” but soon realizes that journalism and the safety of his team are now mutually exclusive.
