MIDDLE EAST NOW Festival 2018
Middle East Now will be held in Florence from 10 to 15 April 2018: the international festival of cinema, documentaries, art, music, talks, culinary events conceived and organized by the cultural association Map of Creation, it will be in its 9th edition. The festival will be held at the Cinema La Compagnia, Cinema Stensen and many other places in Florence, with a rich program of screenings and special events.
The cinema program includes a selection of about 40 films, awarded in the best international film festivals around the world, to offer different views of life in the Middle East, beyond clichés and stereotypes. On the screen, stories of people living in this area of the world since many years at the center of attention of international media for geopolitical issues. Stories and real facts will be told through recent films from Iran, Iraq, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Syria, Algeria, Morocco and Sudan.
