\n<\/a>Film Middle East Now<\/strong> is the only film festival in Italy entirely dedicated to the contemporary Middle East<\/strong>. The fifth edition will take place in Florence<\/strong> from 9\u00a0to 14 April 2014<\/strong>, and will present a\u00a0week of full immersion in Middle Eastern and North African contemporary cinema<\/strong>, visual arts<\/strong> and culture<\/strong>, with an eye on the most energetic, vibrant face of the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The last edition took place\u00a0<\/strong>from 3 to 8 April 2013<\/strong>, and presented a programme of\u00a044 titles among feature films, documentaries, shorts and animations, with more than 30 international guests attending the event, including directors, actors, producers, artists and journalists<\/strong>.
\nTitles that normally are not distributed in Italy, selected among the\u00a0most acclaimed productions by the audience at international festivals. The program expanded this year to include cinema from\u00a0North Africa<\/strong> and\u00a0Morocco<\/strong> in particular, as guest country<\/strong>. New at this edition also the\u00a0“Focus Afghanistan Inside Out”<\/strong>,\u00a0dedicated to a country in the spotlight whose future is still to be written; the special section on Israel and Palestine<\/strong>; plus a great attention to Syria<\/strong>, with a selection of films that tell more of this country beyond all the news. And then films, documentaries and shorts from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain<\/strong>…<\/p>\n
