The festival registered a large, growing participation of the audience, who flocked to the cinemas &#8211; the Odeon Cinema and Auditorium Stensen &#8211; and side events and art projects.<\/p>\n<p>During the closing night was awarded the winner of the Middle East Now Award, the Audience Award launched for the first time in this edition: the winner was the Iranian film <strong>FACING MIRRORS<\/strong> (Iran, Germany, 2012 ), the film by director <strong>Negar Azarbayjani<\/strong>, which has thrilled and moved audiences, receiving two long applause at the end of the screenings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/middleastnow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Opening-Middle-East-Now_Cinema-Odeon2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-1671\" title=\"Opening Middle East Now_Cinema Odeon\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/middleastnow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Opening-Middle-East-Now_Cinema-Odeon2-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/middleastnow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Opening-Middle-East-Now_Cinema-Odeon2-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/middleastnow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Opening-Middle-East-Now_Cinema-Odeon2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Iranian film FACING MIRRORS is the winner of the Middle East Now Award 2013.
